We do not disclose any information to persons or organisations outside the practice, unless you specifically request this to happen. A consent form is provided at your first appointment so that you may indicate which doctors, teachers, or allied health clinicians you approve for exchange of information.
Information and notes are stored at the practice under lock and key and via the practice software and server which uses high level security measures in order to protect your information. Little Tree Practice uses professional IT support services to maintain the security of your data.
In the event that yourself, your child, or another person is in danger, Little Tree Practice will communicate with relevant supports in order to ensure safety.
If a court subpoenas your notes, Little Tree Practice will take advice from medico-legal advisory bodies in order to ensure compliance with the law and protection of your privacy. Your right to privacy is detailed in the Australian Privacy Act (1998).
